Ida Brunson was diagnosed with lupus in 1993 and given 10 years to live. Due to the debilitating nature of the disease, she was unable to work, and eventually was forced to move into public housing to live. Now, she has outlived her expected lifespan, and credits her faith in God for the fact that she’s still alive.
